Members have attracted both external and internal funding during the course of their respective R&E activities which span a variety of endeavours, from internally based projects, to those located externally in the public, private and voluntary sector.
Many of the members are published authors and researchers who have already established a national and international reputation in their field. Their R&E outputs have, in the past, contributed to the development of new teaching strategies and working practices. The cluster group provides a ‘talent-pool’ of expertise helping to establish the faculty (and the University) as a leader in the field of creativity and communication, building on the success of other enterprises within the faculty such as the recent accreditation as a Skillset Academy.
In addition to this, the group provides mentoring, support and guidance for members of academic staff who are novice researchers or are simply looking for ways to get their research or enterprise activities off the ground.
