investigation is concerned with our perception of the inherent sensory properties of materials within a holistic environment. This research will focus on the exploration of material texture by touch (visual touch and blindfold touch), which is comparatively less studied than other properties such as colour, sound, etc. We are currently testing bamboo and leather samples both as isolated samples and material used within the context of consumer products.
