Sports and Societies
Southampton Solent University has a thriving sports community. The University has over 30 different sporting teams, which together form Team Solent. In 2010 Team Solent finished 55th out of 146 universities in the British University and College Sport (BUCS) league.
The University boasts a wide range of sporting facilities including a well equipped gym, playing fields at
Hardmoor Sports Ground and a Watersports Centre situated at the Mouth of the River Hamble.
