Accommodation fees
Rooms vary in price depending on what type of room you have and the length of the residency agreement for which you wish to sign up.

*Standard residence period runs from 17 September 2012 to 1 July 2013 (41 weeks).

Emily Davies
Rooms at the Emily Davies Student Residence| vary in price dependent upon the size of the room.
Emily Davies is configured into flats for three or four people and is normally set aside for continuing and postgraduate students.

Car parking
Parking can be reserved subject to availability. Payment for the whole year is required up front but can be refunded on a pro-rata, termly basis.
The car parking fee for 2012/13 will be £10.50 per week.
How to pay
There are two main ways to pay: either by direct debit or by using credit/debit card details.
To make life easier, accommodation fees can be spread across the whole year and paid in either three equal instalments – normally October, January and April – or seven equal monthly instalments.
All at once
If you prefer to get it out of the way, you can pay all your fees in one go before you get here or when you move in. To pay before you arrive, you can use a credit/debit card. To pay on arrival, you can use a credit/debit card or you can pay in cash.
If you pay all your accommodation fees in one go, you’ll receive vouchers worth £100 of food or drink from any of the restaurants or cafés on campus.
Please note: All students from outside the EU must pay their accommodation fees in full before they move into their room.
The final details of your fees and options for payment will be sent to you with your accommodation confirmation.
As part of the University’s access arrangements, these residence fees include a discount for all students staying in our Student Residences in central Southampton, and whose tuition fees will be directly paid to Southampton Solent University.
