Accommodation - Next steps
Just follow these steps and you won't go wrong with accommodation in the Student Residences.
Step 1
Once we've allocated you into a room we will take the rent pre-payment.
Step 2
We'll write/email you to tell you which Student Residence you've been allocated into.
You'll also receive the following documents at this time:

Three Residence agreements
-
Confirmation of how much it'll cost and how you can pay

A Vehicle Detail form (if you've requested a car parking space)

The appropriate receipts for payments you have made

A copy of the Terms of Residency (see below)
If you've requested a car parking space payment will not be taken until 12 August 2011. Vehicle Details forms will be sent to you shortly after. Any booking forms received after 12 August 2011, payment will be taken immediately and you will receive your Vehicle Details forms with the rest of the documentation.

Step 3
Complete and sign in all three copies of your Residence Agreement, and any other forms that you receive.
Step 4
Keep one copy of the Residence Agreement and payment mandate for yourself. Keep the other two resident agreements and a copy of your payment mandate safe for when you move into your student accommodation.
Step 5
Do not send any forms back to the Accommodation Office; keep them to hand in at the residence. Do not pack them in the bottom of your suitcase, you will need them when you move in.
Step 6
Ensure that you complete the accommodation online induction| - it's designed to give you all the essential information that you will need before you move into university accommodation.
Step 7
On the day you move in, hand the two copies of your Residence Agreement and a copy of your payment mandate to the member of staff at the Residence. You will then be given your keys and/or access cards. If you have been allocated a parking space, hand in the Vehicle Detail form and you will receive a permit to be displayed in your vehicle and an access card for the car park.
