Coming to Solent in 2011
All the information you need to know
If you are planning to enter University in September 2011 details of the 2011/12 student finance package are provided below. You should note that only students choosing to defer entry to 2012/13 or HND students choosing to top-up to a degree course at the end of their studies will be affected by the higher fees from 2012/13 onwards.
Early payment discount
You may qualify for a 5% discount on your tuition fees - click here to find out more|.
Undergraduate degree students
If you start a degree (BA, BSc, BEng, LLB) in 2011, you will be unaffected by the change in fee levels planned for 2012. Paying £3,375 per annum only rising by the rate of inflation.
Foundation Level 3 students
You will be unaffected by the change in fee levels, paying £3,375 per annum only rising by the rate of inflation.
HND students
You will be unaffected by the change in fee levels and will pay £2,995 per annum, only rising by the rate of inflation each year. If you decide to top-up to a degree course at the end of your studies you will pay the increased amount.

Deferring/gap year students
If you defer your 2011 entry to 2012 you will pay the increased fees. See starting University in 2012 (below) for more information.

Starting University in 2012?
From 2012 onwards fees at English Universities will rise to a maximum of £9,000 per annum. Solent University will announce its new fee level after it has been approved by the Office for Fair Access (OFFA) in July 2011.
