The University supports your career ambitions in four main ways.
Delivering degrees providing relevant knowledge, experiences and skills
By 2012, all degrees| will include real world learning opportunities. Specialist modules, live briefs, simulations and work experience provide students with the experiences and competencies required to enter careers directly linked to the course of study. Employability and Enterprise work with staff in many ways, such as preparing students for assessed work placements.
Your career is our business
Employability and Enterprise provides you with impartial support to enable you to develop the career you want|. Building on the foundations provided through your studies, we deliver workshops and presentation, often in collaboration with local and national employers, impartial one to one careers support and online information and advice.

Many of our students have successfully set up their own businesses. Get advice from an Enterprise Adviser to talk through your ideas.

Creative industry students can deliver solutions to clients through Solent Creatives as preparation for freelancing.
Graduate internships
For the last three years, around 25 graduates have completed one year internships within the University. We are building on this and currently providing up to 75 internship opportunities with regional employers that will last from between three to six months| for 2011 gradautes.
