Badminton
The university badminton club encourages members of all abilities, with two tiers of social players and squad members. No Strings, a popular and ever-expanding social club, is run on a Thursday 7-10pm. Matches are played against other Universities in the BUCS league, with a competitive men’s team.
Competition: The men’s and women's teams compete in the Western Conferences of BUCS league 2A|, as well as playing in Division 3 of the Southampton District Badminton Leagues (SDBA). |
Achievements: The men’s squad were successful in getting to the semi-finals of the BUCS Conference Cup competition in the 2008/09 season. The men’s team finished 4th in the league in the 2011/12 season.
