Rowing
Southampton Solent University Rowing Club is one of the longest running sporting clubs within the university.The club has had a very successful 2010/11 season, claiming 32 medals with promising results for future competitions.
The club is based on the Itchen river and shares facilities with Coalporters Rowing club| and has a variety of boats from single sculls to sweep 8s. Southampton Solent University Rowing Club or "SSURC" as it is usually known, takes part in a series of indoor and outdoor rowing competitions which take place from the southern tip of the UK in Cornwall, right up to events taking place at the opposite end of the UK in Edinburgh.
Membership cost: £125 for the academic year 2011/12.
An agreed additional fee will be charged to each member competing at BUCS| events.
Training: Training is most nights - times and days change to suit various student timetables.
Competition: Various Regattas around England.
