Sub-Aqua Club

scuba 2Solent University Sub-Aqua Club, more commonly known as SUCS, has an enviable reputation in delivering quality diving education, and is regularly cited in the top 5 of University clubs for its achievements.

The club trains from basic entry level, right though to Instructor/Technical level and in a typical University year, (Oct-June) we would expect a committed member to achieve the internationally recognised grade of Sport Diver. By year two, it would be onto more diving as part of Dive Leader, or the possibility of commencing entry level Instructor training, leading to full exams by year three.

Scuba TeamThat might seem a lot, but this award-winning club achieves precisely that on a regular basis, with everybody having a lot of fun doing it along the way.

SUCS is also both a multi-agency and multi-University club and welcomes applications from divers and students of any agency or Uni. As long as you are over 18 and in full-time education, especially those engaged in a maritime related studies, we want to hear from you.

Diving is an expensive sport, but SUCS is an enabling club, which is why we provide full, quality dive kit as an inclusive part of membership and do everything we can to make the sport affordable and above all a lot of fun.
