Further funding
This is a non-repayable government grant administered by the Student Funding team at the University. You must be enrolled on a course here and have your
full maintenance loan entitlement in order to apply.
A loan may be available if your first payment of student funding is delayed.
If you are a student with extra responsibilities, for example, children, carer, lone parent, you may be entitled to further grants and benefits.
Student Residences at Southampton Solent University give a £250 (non-income assessed) discount. Most students will get this automatically, including overseas students, but not exchange students. This reduction has already been incorporated into our fee structure, which means that the Accommodation Fees shown are those that you pay. Please contact the Accommodation Office| for further information.
Students with a disability may be able to apply for an extra grant from Student Finance England to help with some costs, that can help with their studies.
Students on the Social Work degree can apply for this non-repayable bursary via the NHS.
Funding may be available over the summer if there is any money left from the Access Fund at the end of the academic year.
This is a non-repayable bursary if you are a
young person in care
coming to university. For further information contact the Student Access Coordinator: Email:
