Short-term loans
Who can have a short term loan?
-
'UK Home' students (not EU or overseas*) studying at Southampton Solent University
-
Your first payment of student funding is delayed.
-
If your problems are more long-term, you may want to think of ways to improve your budgeting skills and maybe apply to the 'Access fund'.
If we are able to lend you any money it will depend on your situation. We can only lend small amounts for basic living costs. Some loans will require you to have taken out your full student loan. Any loan offered is in cash, fully repayable and interest free.
(*EU and Overseas students with exceptional circumstances may be eligible for an emergency loan and have the resources to repay the loan. You must speak to an adviser who will decide if a loan can be given.)
How do I apply?
Please come in to Students 1st (RM050) and speak to a funding adviser |who will assess your situation and decide if a loan is appropriate.
