Southampton Solent University's Bursary

  • non-repayable
  • to help with general living costs and course costs
  • means-tested.

2012 NEW students only - income threshold below £25,000, can get:

2011 entrants continuing in 2012/13 - income threshold below £25,000, can get: 

  • £750 (max) if paying fees of £3,465

  • £375 (max) if paying fees less than £3,465 (for example HND) and  you get exactly £2,984 Maintenance Grant

How do I apply for the bursary?

  • You apply on the same application form as your loans/grants (PN1/PR1) via Student Finance England (SFE) by submitting household income information. 

  • Payments are split into two instalments and paid into your bank account, usually in February and May.
