Access Solent

The help desk Access Solent works to support disabled students to achieve their academic potential.

We offer a free and confidential service available to students enrolled at Southampton Solent University or on any of its franchised courses. 

Our services

Our Advisers can help you to set up appropriate provision for your individual academic-related needs, including:

  • staff awareness
  • exam arrangements
  • assistive software and technology
  • specialist study skills tutorials
  • academic mentoring
  • notetaking
  • library support
  • Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA).

Assistive software technology is is also available in the main IT resource Centres and two dedicated Assistive Technology Centres.
