As an alumni of Southampton Solent University, there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved here on campus. Alumni can help to inspire current and prospective students by taking part in mentoring schemes, sharing their industry experience, guest speaking or arranging work experience placements.

Our professional mentoring programme matches students and recent graduates with professionals from local businesses to support their transition between education and the world of work. With a minimum commitment of just six meetings a year, this is an invaluable experience and your chance to give something back to the University.

From providing advice on writing a CV and tips for attending interviews, to encouragement around networking and suggestions on professional etiquette, there are plenty of ways you can support our students and graduates as a mentor, helping them to get the best start in their careers.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, or if you want to find out more information about the scheme, complete this short form. Initial training and ongoing mentor support will be provided.

Share your story

We are always keen to hear how your career has progressed. Fill out our alumni case study form and we will forward your story and details on to relevant University colleagues. If you've got a great story that could inspire Solent students, we'd love to share it on the site.

Guest speaking and testimonials
