Incorporating the CIPD Intermediate Diploma in HR, this highly practical Level 5 apprenticeship delivers essential knowledge and understanding of human resources and the HR function in a variety of organisations, along with professional best practice to apply your new skills in the workplace.

The HR profession is increasingly demanding professional qualifications for practitioners, and this highly professional course – with membership of the CIPD and one of their highly regarded qualifications – will give your CV real credibility.

During regular study at our Southampton campus, you will meet other HR professionals on the course and develop invaluable networks of professional peers to inform your own work and share best practice.

You will learn how HR can anticipate and respond to business issues from within and outside of the organisation; how the HR function is put together and the options according to sector; how to resource and plan for the retention of talent within the organisation and contribute to improving organisational performance; how to develop policy and comply with legislation; how to use information to make informed decisions and provide solutions for people management.

With the extensive support of tutors who have all been practitioners, you will benefit from their real-world experience and exposure – while specialist units on topics such as employment law will ensure you develop knowledge and skills that are highly relevant to the modern HR environment.
