The Level 1 Award for Assistant Coaches in Badminton is a vocational qualification that provides candidates with a basic introduction to the practical and theoretical aspects to enable them to assist coaching Badminton. The knowledge gained will enable candidates to begin to develop an understanding of safe, ethical and effective practices.
The certificate qualifies candidates to assist other more qualified coaches in the coaching of skills and techniques of the pathway sport to adults and children.
All UKCC Level 1 courses commencing after the 1st January 2016 will involve pre-course e-learning modules that are assessed. These e-learning modules include:

Successful completion of the e-learning modules. The observed delivery of a minimum of one planned activity session drawn from the Practical Syllabus of a recognised sporting pathway (Badminton) and appropriate to the needs of the participants, the session will be a minimum of 15 minutes in length.
