About the course

Coaches who are going to coach young people and adults in ‘open age’ cricket. They may be new coaches, existing UKCC1/ECB L1 or children’s coaches who wish to access ‘young person and adult specific’ content.

Course pre-requisites:
  • You must have evidence of having successfully attended ‘6hr Emergency Aid’ course prior to certification (included within this course)
  • You must hold an ECB DBS* before certification will be issued

The England and Wales Cricket Board is firmly and enthusiastically committed to continuing to provide an environment that is safe, welcoming and friendly for children and for all people to enjoy the game of cricket and require everyone in Cricket who has significant contact with children to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (which has replaced the CRB check).

*It is your responsibility to ensure that you complete the DBS process and pay for your DBS check.

Course duration:

Coaches will be required to attend 8 x 3 Hour Modules, complete ‘off-course’ home-study ‘online E-modules’ tasks in between modules and six sessions of supported practice usually in your own Club Coaching environment.

What you'll study

Course content:

Your future

This certificate is for aspiring cricket coaches who wish to develop their knowledge and skills to be able to lead enjoyable and stimulating coaching sessions for children and young adults.
