About the course

On this course, you'll receive a basic introduction to the skills required for planning and delivering Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 physical education lessons through the subject of football.

You'll be introduced to the FA's Future Game philosophy by creating a learning environment through the delivery of movement games and appropriate practices, as well as how to develop practice to accelerate learning. The award also includes elements associated with working with a school team linked to the the FA's youth development review.

Course pre-requisites:
  • You must provide your FAN number. To obtain or retrieve a FAN number - go to https://secure.thefa.com/FAN/Register.aspx
    • This is to ensure your attendance is recorded against the correct Football Association account.

  • Have an understanding of how to modify practices to manage difference
  • Understand how to set up 4 v 4 games for young players
  • Have an understanding of how to further their knowledge and understanding of association football through attending relevant courses
Outcomes

At the end of the course you will:
