Event details

The Wilberforce Dialogue was established in 2009 by Reverend Dr Julian Davies, city centre parish team leader and University Anglican chaplain, to relate issues of faith to pressing socio-political, geo-economic and intellectual issues of the day.

This public lecture was jointly organised by the City Parish and Southampton Solent University and will focus on the migration crisis. The event is free and refreshments will be provided.

Speakers include:

Zrinka Bralo, Director of Migrants Organise

Zrinka co-ordinated international media coverage of the Bosnian war and sought asylum in the UK. She was refused and fought deportation for three years before winning the right to stay. She set up Right to Remain fighting against unjust deportation.

Zoe Gardner, Communications Officer of Asylum Aid

Zoe joined Asylum Aid in 2014 as its  communications officer having previously worked in communications and policy at the European Council on Refugees and Exiles and the Race Equality Foundation Aid. She is also on the steering committee for the Movement against Xenophobia and trustee of Medical Information for Ethnic Minorities.
