Join the latest in a series of events delivered in partnership between Southampton Solent University and the BCS’s (The Chartered Institute for IT) Hampshire branch.
Aldous Rees, a Southampton Solent PhD student, will explore how computer technology is aiding research into the impact of metal pollution on Southampton Water.
Southampton Water is an estuarine environment with many sources of metal pollution, including boats and sewage works. The estuaries forming Southampton Water currently exceed environmental quality standards. Current research, mainly focusing on zinc, uses computer modelling applications alongside with an extensive and growing seasonal data set to determine the main sources.
The event is free to attend for members and non-members of the BCS with online registration via the BCS website.
