Help support an individual transition into the workplace

If you’re based in the local area, and would like to share your knowledge and experience with our talented students and graduates, our professional mentoring programme is for you.

Not only will you be able to improve your communication skills and develop leadership and management expertise, but you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the individual you mentor.

Our professional mentoring programme matches students and recent graduates with professionals from local businesses to support their transition between education and the world of work. With a minimum commitment of just six meetings a year, this is an invaluable experience and your chance to give something back to the University.

From providing advice on writing a CV and tips for attending interviews, to encouragement around networking and suggestions on professional etiquette, there are plenty of ways you can support our students and graduates as a mentor, helping them to get the best start in their careers.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, complete this short form before Monday 7 August. Initial training and ongoing mentor support will be provided.
