This Saturday, 14 October, Southampton Solent University’s Showcase Gallery will take part in a special family arts day

This Saturday, 14 October, Southampton Solent University’s Showcase Gallery will take part in a special family arts day, helping young people and families across the city discover creative spaces.

The Showcase Gallery has teamed up with the John Hansard Gallery, Southampton Central Library and Southampton City Art Gallery to offer free workshops, with the opportunity to gain an Arts Award for those aged 5-25 years old.

Follow the trail and discover an exciting range of free arts-based activities for all ages!

‘Exhibition in a Day’, run by curator Kate Maple and artist Joe Ross. Take part in a range of creative activities to get the ideas flowing, then draw on the gallery walls to create a collaborative artwork for all to enjoy!

John Hansard Gallery will be based at Solent’s Showcase Gallery running a workshop based on 'A Good Neighbour' theme, asking the question - what does it mean to be a good neighbour in today's world?

Artist Ali Eales will be creating fun 3-D mono-printed trees out of cardboard and paper.

Where's Wally? Come and see if you can spot Wally in the Library! Have fun drawing, colouring and sticking Wally-related craft activities and pick up a free Where's Wally mini book (until they run out!)
