We are delighted to be extending our current apprenticeship partnership with Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) to offer the University’s Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) from May 2018.

The fast track two-year CMDA programme is aimed at higher level professional managers looking to progress their career with graduate-level leadership, business and management know-how. As management apprentices on the CMDA programme they will develop the skills and expertise to take responsibility for people, projects, operations and services with the opportunity to earn Chartered Manager status, accredited by the Chartered Management Institute.

Pro Vice-Chancellor Tere Daly from Southampton Solent University says: “Working in partnership with BCoT to deliver our CMDA fast track programme provides local employers with the perfect opportunity to upskill managers at a location that is suitable for them.

“The world of business is ever-changing and fast paced, so the CMDA combines academic theory and professional practice, enhancing the skills of future leaders and managers. Delivered over nine weekends and supported by our e-Learning platform, candidates have the opportunity to not only complete a degree, but also earn chartered manager status, accredited by the Chartered Management Institute.”

Commenting on the degree apprenticeship which BCoT will be the first provider in Basingstoke to offer, Principal Anthony Bravo said: “This is a very exciting development in our partnership with Southampton Solent University who we already offer a number of higher education courses through.  We know how busy professional managers can be so having the opportunity to study a university degree level programme here at BCoT is going to be much more convenient, cost effective and less time consuming. There are also huge benefits for local employers looking to invest in their workforce, strengthening the leadership and management skills of their people.”
