Biography

Adam Kelly is an associate lecturer in the School of Sport, Health and Social Sciences at Southampton Solent University. His job involves teaching sport psychology, performance analysis and research methods on the University's sport science, sport coaching and fitness and personal training related courses.

Adam graduated BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching from Southampton Solent University in 2011 and is currently working towards his PhD titled: 'Investigating pre-delivery routines in elite cricket batsmen'. In addition to his academic qualifications Adam has applied experience with athlete populations ranging from elite to amateur, junior to senior, within a variety of sports.

Adam has a huge interest in cricket performance having worked for Worcestershire County Cricket Club and current the bowling coach Bath Cricket Club. As a player, Adam reach 2ndXI county cricket standard and was a member of the England and Wales Cricket Board under 19s County Championship winning side at Somerset in 2002, and currently plays for Bath Cricket Club 1st XI.
