Emma has been with Solent University since 2008. She graduated from the University of Southampton with a BA (Hons) in Fashion. She later accomplished a Master of Arts in International Fashion and Textiles with Marketing in 2010, which allowed her to study within international schools of fashion such as Institute Frances De La Mode, Paris, and the Hoog School Ver De Kunsten in the Netherlands. During her MA studies, Emma was awarded a scholarship towards funding her studies by the Textile Institute, Guild of Weavers.
Emma has taught a range of fashion branding, fashion law, buying and merchandising, marketing, multi, and omni channelling units across the School of Fashion, working predominately with BA (Hons) Fashion Management with Marketing and BA (Hons) Fashion Buying and Merchandising.
Currently, Emma is also an external examiner for Nottingham Trent University School of Art and Design for their UK and Hong Kong degrees. She also works with Manchester Metropolitan University and Pearl Academy India. She has served as an external assessor for the London College of Fashion for the development of new degrees within the fashion business school, and as an external examiner for MA courses with Istituto Marangoni UK and Paris faculties.
As part of Emma's on-going research she has worked with Central Saint Martins developing short course workshops, as well as the London College of Fashion as a dissertation supervisor. Emma also as well as specialises in the development of live projects and the embedding of theory and practice for work-based learning within Solent's School of Art, Design and Fashion.
