Biography

Gill is a senior lecturer and course leader for BA (Hons) Accountancy and Finance. She is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is also PGCTLHE qualified.

Gill has been lecturing here since 1992 and has a student-centered teaching approach. She is currently teaching accountancy, auditing, financial analysis and supervises undergraduate and master's dissertations.

A former Welsh international athlete at 400m, Gill has a number of fairly adventurous outdoor interests and her hobbies include road cycling, rock climbing and mountaineering. She is also a Tae Kwon Do red belt, which can prove useful for a mother of two.

  1. Industry experience

    Prior to lecturing, Gill trained in practice including two years with Coopers and Lybrand. She also has experience in industry in the overseas accounting department of Drake and Scull Engineering.
  2. Research interests

    Gill’s main areas of academic interest lie in financial accounting and progress in comparative international accounting.
