John Meech has worked in the construction industry since leaving school, firstly working for a joinery company in the joinery works and on site. During this period he completed his apprenticeship and obtained an HNC in Building Studies.
Following his HNC he moved into the drawing office to concentrate on the design process. Since then he has worked in architectural practices and this has allowed him to obtain along the way a BA (Hons) in Architectural Technology at Solent university, a MA in Architectural Professional Practice and gain full chartered membership of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (MCIAT). John is now an associate in his current architectural practice.
In 2008 John came back to Solent University to tutor part time and he is still here and enjoying passing on the vital skills to the next generation of architectural technologists.
