Biography

Joseph is a Lecturer in Construction Management with a PhD in Construction Management and an MSc in Construction Project Management. His duties include teaching a range of undergraduate Quantity Surveying and Construction Management courses. Joseph is also the Course Tutor for and leads the BSc (Hons) International Construction, Design and Sustainability (ICDS) Course in the Faculty of Creative Industries, Architecture and Engineering at Solent University. In addition to his teaching duties, he provides research support to final year students in their dissertation writing and associated research.

Joseph's ongoing research focuses on the Future of Construction and on Transforming Construction. Areas of specific research interest include: construction productivity, industry development and improvement, modern methods of construction (MMC), 3-D printing, innovation and public private partnerships (PPPs). He has published his research outcomes in leading journal outlets and presented at leading industry conferences. He is also the lead author for the book: Transforming Construction in Ghana – and Action Agenda for Transforming the Ghanaian Construction Industry.

Joseph is an incorporate member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and holds reviewer positions on industry acknowledged journals such as the International Journal on Construction Management and Benchmarking – and International Journal. With over 15 years’ experience in teaching, he has taught students at various levels in the UK and overseas. Joseph's industry experience includes working with stakeholders to improve industry performance.
