Lisa is currently head of RE:SO at Southampton Solent University. She is also the subject lead for the MA Fashion Merchandise Management course. Lisa works as a principle lecturer and teaches on a number of fashion courses at Solent, and is an external examiner at Pearl Academy of Fashion in Delhi, India, and at Plymouth College of Art.
Lisa has an MA in Design Practice and is a member of the Higher Education Academy and is currently leading the fashion management team in the development of a new fashion buying and merchandising course.
Lisa’s position in the School of Art, Design and Fashion has led to her a range of projects at Southampton Solent University, she is the co-editor of '3rd Floor' the annual fashion publication produced by the fashion department, and led the development and implementation of 11 online short courses in fashion during 2010/2011. Lisa has also written on fashion forecasting for the fashion author Sandra Burke for her recent most recently published book entitled 'Fashion Designer'.
Most recently Lisa has been the project lead for the retail Solent initiative. This project involves students and staff in the set up, interior concept and design and implementation of the creative boutique Re:So. Re:So is an innovative retail concept providing a creative retail and gallery space for the sale and exhibition of current and graduating students work. The boutique is the result of a collaborative agreement between Southampton Solent University and Southampton city’s Marlands Shopping Centre.
