Biography

Artistic director of Artifice, a cross-media arts collective which makes and promotes a wide variety of arts events, with a focus on accessibility and interactivity.

Co-founder of The Butlers, a troupe of immaculately dressed performers who offer their altruistic services at festivals and events across the UK and internationally. Nominated for a Total Theatre Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 2012. 

Research interests

Performance in community contexts, participation and interactivity, the performer/spectator relationship, artistic processes, the New York avant-garde of the 1950s and 60s, the pragmatist aesthetics of John Dewey.
