Biography

I have fifteen years’ experience of working commercially with 3D graphics and animation, and over ten years’ experience of teaching FE and HE students. I am now a Director and part-owner of my own Staffordshire based company, designing and developing augmented reality applications and products.

I have been teaching in since 2002. I was employed as full time course leader of two Foundation Degrees at Stafford College, as part of the Staffordshire University Regional Federation. Prior to this, I was a visiting lecturer to industry professionals, undergraduates and postgraduates at several other institutions in the UK and New Zealand.

I completed an MA Creative Futures VFX in 2014, for which I was awarded a Distinction. During my studies, I researched the development of augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality solutions for archaeological sites, working closely with institutions in southern Italy. I was awarded European Regional Development Funding to set up my own business in 2015 and I now create AR products for museums and cultural sites in the UK and wider European Union.

Currently I am establishing the Virtual and Augmented Reality degree programs at Solent.
