Panoraia studied her first degree at the University of Northumbria and her master’s degree at the University of Kent. She then returned to Greece where she was fully trained in cognitive behavioural therapy and systemic family therapy and was also familiarised with other forms of psychotherapy such as cognitive analytic therapy and schema therapy.

In 2013, she completed her PhD which examined the 'Cognitive, Emotional and Motivational aspects of Adult Attachment'. Panoraia has worked in the area of counselling and psychotherapy for more than ten years. Her research interests lie within the areas of counselling psychology and psychotherapy, psychopathology, psychological well-being, and attachment.
