Biography

Policing diverse communities manager, National Centre for Policing Excellence, College of Policing (Formerly the National Police Improvement Agency), Police Staff College, Bramshill - researcher and lecturer for senior police development courses and development of national police guidance and policies. 

Responsible for mainstreaming of equality & diversity and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. Domestic and international advisor on community policing, engagement.

First elected general secretary and a founding member of the National Black Police Association (UK) - responsible for driving the development of equality & diversity issues in accordance with the expectations and needs of Black & Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities and legislation throughout British police services as a result of the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry Report (1999).

Former close protection officer & member of a Tactical Firearms Unit - engaged in close protection of VIPs, specialist firearms deployment (rapid intervention and hostage rescue) and advisor on the tactical use of firearms.
