Internship at Schmitt + Sohn Elevadores (Porto, Portugal) from December 2011 to July 2012. The main activities were to analyse operations and procedures in the workstations of the metal-mechanic area, implement improvement solutions to reduce wastes, apply lean production tools (Standard Work, 5S and Visual Management), and ultimately to develop the master's thesis.
Internship at Preh Portugal (Trofa, Portugal) from October 2010 to January 2011. The main activities were to analyse operations and procedures in the workstations of the assembly area, identify the main problematic areas, and propose improvement solutions mostly related to ergonomics and to production planning and control.
