After graduating with a degree in business, Stephanie spent several years in Spain working where she developed an interest in languages and multicultural environments. She completed a degree in Spanish and South American culture and literature, and a Master in teaching French as a foreign language. After she moved to London in 2001, Stephanie taught French for a variety of purposes mainly in companies which gave her an insight on how important languages and awareness of cultural differences can be to enhance your professional career.
She completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PGCTLHE) in 2012 and became a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) the same year.
Stephanie is currently unit leader for all French units at Southampton Solent University, as well as teaching Spanish and international studies. She is interested in how to better enhance employability into language teaching.
