Biography

Tim is the course leader for the postgraduate and professional provision at Solent University's School of Business, Law and Communication. Experienced in business analysis and e-business, he lectures in the business, marketing and IT subject areas.

He is an external examiner at the Sheffield Hallam University and a former external examiner at Coventry University College and St Mark’s and St John’s University Plymouth. 

Prior to working in higher education Tim worked for the National Health Service (NHS) in a variety of IT related roles. He went on to found iBox Solutions Ltd and continued to work with local businesses and consulted for a genetics software provider. Tim has always been entrepreneurial, setting up his first business when he was a student, which still trades as iBox Photography. 

Tim continues to do consultancy work in the healthcare sector, specialising in genetic information management and system integration, and with local businesses through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs).

Tim holds a MSc (Dist) Business Information Technology, BA Hons (First) Business with E-commerce, PGCLTHE, Google Analytics Individual Qualification and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Tim founded and continues to run iBox Solutions, an IT consultancy business specialising in healthcare informatics, system integration and web technologies.

    Tim has designed and delivers a range of units in the subject areas of business, e-commerce, information management, electronic marketing, online music management, leadership and entrepreneurship. Tim teaches at various levels, ranging from level 4 undergraduate to level 7 postgraduate, across a range of different courses.

    Tim has a wide and varied range of research interests, but focus mainly around e-commerce, healthcare informatics and web technologies.
