Tom is an associate lecturer in the sport programme, teaching on BA (Hons) Sport Coaching and Development. He attained his BA (Hons) in sport coaching and sport development and his MA in sport and development from Southampton Solent University. He also has a Level 2 coaching award in dodgeball as well as Level 1 awards in cricket, basketball, athletics and handball, and has recently completed his FA Level 2 Coaching award.
Aside from teaching, Tom is also a sport development practitioner working across Eastleigh College and Barton Peveril Sixth Form College as College Sport Maker (CSM). His role as CSM focuses on developing regular sporting and physical activity opportunities for all students of both colleges. Key successes so far include the Female Activities Programme, which provides bespoke activities for inactive females, and the Inclusive Activities Programme, which provides bespoke activities for those with moderate and severe/profound learning difficulties.
