Rachael Taylor is an associate lecturer teaching on the BA (Hons) Fashion Graphics, BA (Hons) Fashion Photography and MA Fashion Merchandise Management at Solent University.
Co-founder of a fashion company which sold womenswear and menswear worldwide, the designs focused upon print, embroidery and experimental garment shapes. The fashion label exhibited at trade shows in Barcelona, Tokyo, Berlin and the USA.
Involved industry collaborations with Nike, Timberland, and RBK and exhibited within the Fashion V Sport Exhibition at the V&A in 2008. Press included editorial in Vogue, Sportswear International, WGSN and interviews in three book publications.
Fashion PR consultant for five independent fashion companies building the profile and reputation of each using fashion communication, event management and editorial.
Rachael is currently studying an MA Fashion Futures at London College of Fashion; exploring the future of fashion within sustainability, industry and education.
Rachael's recent publications include AMFI, Amsterdam Fashion Colloquium 2014: Research Paper – Second Hand Clothing Waste and Parsons Colloquium, New York 2013: Co: Evolving Towards a Paradigm Shift.
Rachael's awards include Neal’s Yard Annual Lecture Competition Brief 2014 for University of the Arts, London and Sustainability Fund UAL Green Council 2014.
