Previously, Christine was interim director of the School of Business and Law. Christine is an academic leader with proven success in leading a diverse and challenging business school provision. Earlier as principal lecturer she led the postgraduate and professional courses and colleague teams at Solent University.
She is a senior fellow HEA, chartered FCMI, chartered MCIPD and associate professor.
Christine has led key strategic projects, collaborating with academic and professional services colleagues in strategies and curriculum enhancement to support the development of both the business school and the wider university. Christine founded the Solent HRM Network and led the successful growth voucher project as part of the Small Business Charter award programme relishing the opportunity to further enhance Solent's relationships with small businesses.
Combining experience from a successful career in industry with university leadership roles, Christine continues to collaborate with, and engage in the wider business community developing a warm relationship with Business South and the Chamber of Commerce. She has enjoyed tenure as a sixth form governor, a young enterprise judge, a member of the Southampton City Council Well-Being Charter board, a steering member of local and national retail skills development initiatives and is a champion role model for Aurora (LFHE).
She has also won two HEIF grant awards. Christine is an external examiner in leadership and HRM, an end point assessor and has been an academic course development panel member. She is also a SFHEA assessor for Solent University.
