Neil is an experienced professional 3d artist, designer, animator and studio manager. His first degree is from Goldsmiths College, University of London, and he has a master's degree with Distinction in VFX from Staffordshire University.
Neil started at Solent University in 2017 (as a senior lecturer in virtual and augmented reality) and is now the course leader for computer games (art).
Neil was a commercial freelance 3D artist and animator for 15 years, producing content for games, visualisations and web-based content. In 2016, prior to joining Solent, he was a studio manager overseeing the implementation of the pilot scheme at Staffordshire University’s Digital Kiln Commercial Studio. He was also awarded ERDF and UKTI funding to establish his own company designing and developing augmented reality (AR) and mixed-reality applications.
