Role at Solent
Louise was appointed as Staff Governor (Professional Services) in May 2021 and is currently a member of the Resource Committee.
Experience
Louise is currently a student achievement team leader within Student Experience and holds over 18 years’ experience at Solent supporting the student learner journey. She was also one of the founder members of Solent Voice, the University’s staff communication committee and was nominated as the first co-Chair alongside the Deputy Vice Chancellor. Since 2017, Louise has been Chair of Staff Scene, the University’s social engagement committee for staff networking. Louise was nominated for a Staff Award in 2019 for her contributions to the people experience and won the Vice-Chancellor's Award.
Louise graduated top of her class from BA (Hons) Business Studies at Solent, achieved part-time, while in a full-time role supporting students. She has recently been awarded Associate Fellow status with Advance HE and completed their Aurora Women’s Leadership programme in 2020.
Louise is currently working part-time towards her postgraduate qualification at Solent on the Senior Leadership MBA CMI apprenticeship programme.
