Re:So has collaborated with Southampton City Art Gallery for a range of artwork by Solent students and alumni to be sold at the Gallery.
The work is on display on the first floor of the Gallery and stock will be updated every three months. The pieces for sale include work by MA Visual Communication student, Samuel Watson who has created a range specifically for sale in the Gallery. Two alumni, Allison Farley and Melissa Donne - both best selling stockists of Re:So - also have work for sale.
Products from this collaboration are available to buy from the first floor of Southampton City Art Gallery.
Re:So has collaborated with Chancellor Theo Paphitis' central London art shop, London Graphic Centre, and now has a shop-in-shop selling a selection of popular art materials.
The student team at Re:So manage the products by working with the London based team, two of whom are Solent University alumni. Purchasing manager Suzanne Hack studied BA (Hons) Illustration and graduated in 1998 and operations manager, Zain Husain graduated from BA (Hons) Popular Music and Record Production in 2012.

The vintage collection at Re:So is sourced by students. We plan each buying trip in advance to ensure each piece of the collection is well thought out and trend led. This also helps the students gain industry knowledge of what it is like to be a buyer within a retail environment.
The collection follows what has been forecast to be on trend for vintage that season, meaning that we have pieces that are specifically picked for the customer for the current season, not just what the buyers think should be on the shop floor.
The majority of the vintage products are single pieces, meaning we don’t usually have multiples of the same garments, which adds more meaning behind each great find.
Products from Re:So Vintage are available to buy in store.
After graduating from Solent in 2015, Cool Cat and Hotdog clothing took their love for illustration, printing and rappers and came up with the t-shirt series: ‘Rappers that sound cool until you find out their real names’. It makes fun of rappers’ real names in comparison to their stage names.
Cool Cat and Hot Dog clothing design and hand print all of their t-shirts in a screen-printing studio in Hampshire. Three years on, Cool Cat and Hot Dog clothing are now stocked in two stores in the UK, and in August 2018 their clothing sold at a pop-up store in Shoreditch’s Box Park.

Spirals in Design is a range of furniture and furniture accessories incorporating the shape of a spiral found in nature. The spiral’s precision is achieved by using laser-cutting technology. Easy to transport, set up and use, the products act as a centrepiece to inspire and bring the essence of the 'natural' into your home.
Design for us is the creative process of developing an idea into a made product: exploring the relationship between art and engineering, creating aesthetically pleasing forms inspired by nature, and communicating the concept in a way that’s easy to understand and use.
The range is used as a benchmark for product design units showing how to take an idea from concept to production, as well as branding, packaging and legalities.
Products from Spirals in Design are available to buy in store at Re:So.
Artwork inspired by land and sea, place and time, plants and animals, twilight skies and the magical moon. Wendy Hall has had a love of drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. She studied at Solent University (when it was Southampton Institute) and graduated with a BA (Hons) Fine Art.
Various jobs in archaeology, museums and theatre have informed her artwork. She has worked in quite a figurative and illustration based style, exploring feelings of belonging to the landscape and connection to the history of a location. After art college, Wendy worked more in abstract painting. She now enjoys working in both an abstract and figurative way.
