Solent University splits the academic year into three terms: the autumn term, the spring term and the summer term.
First year students start the autumn term a week earlier than other students, giving them a chance to enjoy welcome week and settle into life here on campus.

- Spring term: Thursday 2 January 2025 to Friday 4 April 2025
- Summer term: Tuesday 22 April to Friday 16 May 2025
Standard postgraduate term dates
- Autumn term: Monday 23 September 2024 to Friday 10 January 2025
- Spring term: Monday 13 January 2025 to Friday 9 May 2025
- Summer term: Monday 12 May 2025 to Friday 19 September 2025
