Solent University splits the academic year into three terms: the autumn term, the spring term and the summer term.
First year students start the autumn term a week earlier than other students, giving them a chance to enjoy welcome week and settle into life here on campus.

- Spring term: Monday 5 January 2025 to Friday 27 March 2026
- Summer term: Monday 13 April to Friday 15 May 2026
