Solent University splits the academic year into three terms: the autumn term, the spring term and the summer term.
First year students start the autumn term a week earlier than other students, giving them a chance to enjoy welcome week and settle into life here on campus.
Standard undergraduate term dates 2026/27
- Autumn term: Monday 21 September 2026 to Friday 18 December 2026
- Spring term: Monday 4 January 2027 to Thursday 25 March 2027
- Summer term: Monday 12 April to Friday 14 May 2027
Standard postgraduate term dates 2026/27
- Autumn term: Monday 28 September 2026 to Friday 18 December 2026
- Spring term: Monday 4 January to Friday 7 May 2027
- Summer term: Monday 10 May to Friday 17 September 2027
