Support for schools and colleges

Welcome

Solent has two teams dedicated to supporting your students. Through engaging and interactive events and activities, we are here to help them discover the many opportunities in higher education and the careers that could be available to them.

Our Step into Success (widening participation) Team work mainly with primary and secondary (pre-16) disadvantaged students in and around the Southampton area, raising aspirations, raising attainment, and awareness of higher education.

The Schools and Colleges Liaison Team work with post-16 students in Hampshire and across the country, enabling them to consider the opportunities available at Solent University. Students from all key stages can benefit from engaging sessions, linked to the Gatsby Benchmarks, which encourage them to think about how university can help them with their future.

To find out more about our widening participation and post-16 activities, please see below.
