Meet Laura Dufort, a product developer turned business advisor for Peter Jensen. Laura has previously worked for Burberry and Christopher Raeburn and is here to share her knowledge on her roles within these companies.

What's your favourite era?
Come along to this workshop dressed in something that represents your favourite era. The talk will be on those fashion looks and how they have informed our current knowledge of fashion. The best dressed will win a prize!

A panel of industry experts (including former Solent students) will talk about their jobs, what they are looking for in an employee, how the industry is changing, and trend forecasting for 2017.
Wednesday 11 January
Special guest lecture - Fae Hammond, EMMY Award-winning makeup and hair designer
An amazing opportunity to learn from EMMY Award-winning makeup and hair designer Fae Hammond. Hear about Fae's amazing career and her techniques on how to create the 1920s look from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, as well as her makeup looks from Snatch and Pride and Prejudice.
Fae Hammond makeup workshop (limited availability)
Book a space on this workshop and learn how to recreate the 1920s look of Queenie Goldstein from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Students will be asked to work in teams of two (one to model and one to make-up) so bring your kit!
Special guest lecture - Kiera Liberati, fashion and celebrity stylist/art director, fashion editor at Notion magazine
Kiera will talk about her journey since graduating from BA Fashion Styling at Solent in 2012, and her work styling the likes of Lion Babe and Wretch 32 for publications including Hunger, Vogue Italia and Notion.

Special guest lecture - Tayla Banks, Free Range
Free Range is the number one platform for the next crop of creatives to showcase their work to the public and the industry. Attracting numbers to rival the largest art events, the annual Free Range exhibitions present the work of a huge number of creative students to various areas of the industry, from fashion and art, to graphics. Tayla will be discussing why Free Range is the best place to forecast trends and scout newest talents, as well as what her job role is really like.
Special guest lecture - Esther Oladokun, Lulu Guinness
Solent alumni Esther will be discussing the production process at the infamous company. Capturing the true essence of the popular brand, Esther will give us a detailed overview of what goes on behind the scenes at Lulu Guinness.
Special guest lecture - Rhiannon Chenery, SANE Communications
A fantastic opportunity to discover what a career in brand management entails, as well as an insight into how a PR company is run on a day-to-day basis.
Friday 13 January
Special guest lecture - Sarah Chatfield, CoverUp
Sarah Chatfield from CoverUp clothing will be speaking about the ins and outs of being part of the production team for the brand, and the product development process. Sarah will also give us an exclusive insight into trend and fashion forecasting for 2017.
Special guest lecture - Jemma Hill, Michael Kors
An exclusive opportunity to hear about PR and marketing at the popular brand Michael Kors, the world-renowned, award-winning designer of luxury accessories and ready-to-wear products. Jemma will be giving us an insight into 2017 trend forecasting and trends.
Special guest lecture - Robert Nixon, Ernest Jones
Meet Robert Nixon, a buyer of watches for the popular high street brand Ernest Jones. Robert Nixon will exclusively be discussing his role as a buyer for the company, and trend forecasts for 2017 within this market.
Meet Solent alumni Winter Hayes, buyers assistant, and Bethan Jackson, admin, for the ASOS womenswear buying department
Solent alumni Winter and Bethan will be returning to give us an insight into what it's like to work for ASOS, one of the world's biggest online fashion brands.
Special guest lecture - Bianca Pianigiani, Ted Baker
Bianca Pianigiani will be speaking about her roles within the production team at Ted Baker, as well as give insight into the company's thoughts on trends and forecasting for 2017.
Special guest lecture - Thelma Dhlovu, Zee & Co, Moss Bros
Thelma is a digital visual merchandiser and blogger for Zee & Co, and visual merchandiser and area manager for Moss Bros. With an array of knowledge from the industry, Thelma will discuss her experiences in each role and her future trend predictions for 2017.
Special guest lecture - Alice Stuart, Wingfield PR
Alice will be speaking about her role as account executive at Wingfield PR, a London-based dynamic PR agency specialising in premium and fast fashion brands. Alice will give an insight into how a PR company is run on a day-to-day basis.
