Get ready to find out how university can help your independence
For students who want to know what to do at university to become more independent.
Solent University is running a series of ‘Get ready to…’ webinars which will give students a range of information and support throughout their journey to higher education – from the initial stages of choosing a course and making an application process through to applying for student finance and getting prepared to go to university.
These webinars will be hosted by a range of people within Solent University including members of the Schools and Colleges Liaison team, academic staff and current undergraduate students.
This webinar, from 4-5pm, will feature Solent's current undergraduate students talking about how university has helped them become more independent.
This question and answer session is your opportunity to ask our current students about their experiences and how being involved in university life has supported their personal development and helped them to become more independent and learn new skills, including learning to budget, managing moving away & settling in, learning cooking & life skills and meeting new people and making friends.
You are welcome to come prepared with any questions you would like answered by our panel of students and staff.
Once registered, you will be sent an email containing the details you need to log in on the day.
More sessions about going to university can be booked here.
