Help shape Hampshire universities' work with people seeking sanctuary
Join the Hampshire Universities Together Network to explore how higher education in the region is supporting people seeking sanctuary.
This inaugural stakeholder event will bring together those working with sanctuary seekers to share best practice, form new connections and help shape future engagement.
The Hampshire Universities Together Network, established in 2022 in response to the UPP Foundation’s call for universities to work collaboratively, is formed of Solent University, University of Portsmouth, University of Southampton, and the University of Winchester. The Network aims to enhance how the region’s universities can build upon individual strengths and specialisms to support community growth. All four universities share the commitment of establishing a Civic Agreement and to be recognised as a University of Sanctuary.
You will be introduced to the new stakeholder network, starting with the theme ‘Culture and Communities’. There will be a range of organisations sharing their projects and experience within in this field, including lessons learned. There will be opportunities to discover areas for future collaboration and to build greater awareness of what is happening across the city and county as we support each other on the journey to supporting those seeking sanctuary.
To confirm your attendance please register by 12 April to allow for catering.
