New role at West Brom for graduate

Football studies graduate, Jake Stanley, has moved into a new role at West Bromwich Albion FC. Jake, who has worked for West Brom for the past six months, has recently been appointed as head of goalkeeping for the club's new Bristol-based development centre. Jake's remit is to develop the centre's best young goalkeepers with the ultimate aim of moving them on to the club's main academy. Discussing how his degree prepared him to work in the professional game, Jake said: "The degree was very helpful in providing an insight into the high standards required of an individual who wishes to work in the professional football industry. The course gave me a clear understanding of the qualifications and skills I need to work in an academy environment. It has also inspired me to explore the idea of studying a postgraduate course."
