About the course

This HND level programme is ideally suited to students who want to specialise in marketing, but would also like to learn more about the business needs and theories that underpin it. Southampton Solent’s thorough business and marketing curriculum, developed in consultation with members of the business community, will help ensure that you learn the broad range of transferable business and marketing skills that modern employers require.

Study at HND level is ideally suited to those who would benefit from a more structured and supportive method of learning. HND qualifications can be developed into a full degree via a one year top-up course.

Developed with input from industry partners and past students, this course focuses on the essential business and marketing skills that modern employers value. Student learning is supported by an experienced team of tutors and Solent’s custom virtual learning environment, where you will have access to lecture notes, exercises, presentations and other learning resources.

Many of our students progress from this HND onto either a full three-year degree (possibly directly into the second year) or a marketing top-up programme (if they have achieved a merit profile in year two).
